The idea behind the initiative is to encourage families, who bring their Severely Acute Malnourished (SAM) children to PPHI OTP centres for treatment, to establish kitchen garden in similar ways at homes for fulfilling nutritional requirements.
On Friday (29 November) District Coordination Committee for Nutrition (DCCN) meeting was held in a Darbar hall DC office Larkana. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Mr Mohammad Noman Siddique along with Program Manager AAP Mr. Dr. MB Raja Dharejo. Mr. Asghar Soomro and Mr. Shafiq Jamro from Provincial Task Force Secretariat for AAP also participated in the meeting.
In her speech Ms. Naheed S. Durrani, Chairperson, Planning and Development Board, Government of Sindh, reiterated Government of Pakistan including Government of Sindh’s commitment to the agenda of developing human capital.

On Friday ( 8 November 2019) 1st meeting of the Pakistan National Nutrition Coordination Council (PNNCC) was held at Prime Minister’s Secretariat in Islamabad. The Prime Minister of Pakistan chairs the council with six ministers as its members. The Vice Chair Ms Sania Nishtar convened the meeting.
